Grading Reports

The acquisition of diamond jewelry is an important expression of love. However, you also want to be confident in what you are buying. The only way to be sure of the quality of your diamond is to ensure that it comes with a diamond grading report. After all, two diamonds may LOOK identical to the naked eye, but they might be very different in quality and, therefore, worlds apart in value.

A diamond grading report tells you everything you need to know about your diamond, from the basic 4Cs of cut, carat size, color and clarity through to more technical diamond data such as flouresence, depth, table, girdle and culet.
We work with the GIA, AGS, IGI and EGL USA as these are some of the most respected and trusted diamond laboratories in the world.

GIA - GEMOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF AMERICA - www.gia.edu
GIA Logo
Having been established for over 75 years, the GIA is one the most highly respected diamond grading laboratories in the world, known for having the most strict and unbiased grading systems for diamonds. From their base in California, the GIA produces two types of reports, depending upon the size of the diamond -

GIA diamond dossier - Presented in a laminated sleeve, this is a compact grading report issued for diamonds weighingGIA Microscopic Laser Inscription Image less than one carat and contains an analysis of the diamond's 4Cs along with a diagram plotting the measurements of the stone. A further benefit of the diamond dossier is that it makes reference to the fact that the GIA report number is microscopically laser inscribed into the girdle of the diamond, linking your report and diamond together.
GIA diamond grading report - This is viewed within the diamond trade as the world's premier gemological credential. A4 in size and presented in a laminated sleeve, this report accompanies all diamonds of size 1.00ct and upwards, and provides not only an analysis of all the technical data about the diamond, but also provides a plotting diamond which illustrates the size, type and position of the diamond’s inclusions.
